The second day of the CAP-ESW Seminar began with brief presentations by each participating Major Superiors on the religious, cultural, linguistic, social and ecclesial realities of their circumscriptions. The reports highlighted the challenges of making our Pauline mission relevant in a fast growing digital world. All of them felt that declining vocations and aging of members are some of the common points of concern.

Thereafter, Fr Joby Mathew presented an overview of various apostolic initiatives of the province primarily aimed at the secular (non-Christian) audience, viz., Better Yourself Books, Inspirational Quote, The Teenager Today, Teen of the Year, Title Waves, SPICE (Bangalore and Mumbai) and ST PAULS College, Bangalore.

This was followed by a tour of ST PAULS Media Complex and the campus wherein the participants had a firsthand experience of the various activities here in Mumbai.

In the afternoon session, the respective DGAs presented a short report on Pauline apostolic initiatives in their circumscriptions that are specifically oriented to people of different faiths and cultures. The report also included a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis of the existing apostolic activities in each circumscriptions.

The last session of the day saw testimonial sharing by some of the people who have benefitted from our secular apostolic activities here in India. Ms Nasreen Hashmabhoy, Gp Capt Achchyut Kumar and Mr Naresh Karmalker share their personal experiences of reading, contributing and working with our publications and other media activities. Each of them highlighted the impact of Better Yourself Books, Teen of the Year and our periodicals in their life as well as in the life of many youngsters.
