Jesus said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest therefore to send workers into his harvest (Mt 9:37-38). The Vocation Promoters responsible for Kerala State had been busy during the past one and half months identifying the future vocations for our Province. In this process, they team visited different dioceses, schools, parishes and houses. After having visited various places, a few students were selected for the camp held in our community at Kozhikode. The camp consisted of interview, aptitude test, instructions and final selection. Fr Shinto Devasia, the coordinator for Kerala region, is happy that the team could select 7 candidates (both plus two and 10th) from the north and the central part of Kerala. Unlike the past years, several senior members actively participated for the vocation work this year. Fr. Gilbert is in the southern part of Kerala promoting vocations and we expect another camp in the community of Kochi in the first week of May. Our gratitude to all those who worked tirelessly for vocation promotion in this scorching heat.
