Holy Innocents Church, Enugu (Nigeria)
Besides the usual prayers and fervor as part of Lenten season, the Holy Innocents Church, Enugu, has organized a three-day retreat for the parishioners which started on Thursday 30th March. This spiritual animation uplifted the spirit of the parishioners to celebrate meaningfully the Feast of Easter. The youth of the parish has started the rehearsal for passion play which will be enacted on Good Friday. Special Adoration will be conducted on Maundy Thursday by different zonal groups. The liturgical celebrations of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Vigil will be conducted in the local language to ensure maximum participation of the faithful. Best wishes to Fr. St Theresa’s Parish, Eluru
St Theresa’s Church, Eluru, is in full swing in preparation for Easter. As part of the preparation, arrangements have been made for the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Saturday 8th of April. The blessing of the palm on Palm Sunday will be solemnized at St Theresa’ Intermediate College campus adjacent to the parish Church. Special event that marks Good Friday is the Way of the Cross followed by a sermon on the Passion of Christ. More than thousand Catholics are expected for the celebration of the Passion of Our Lord. The week-long devotional celebration held in the Church and in its immediate surroundings is a meaningful expression of our faith and it gives public witness to people of other faith.
