St Pauls Church, Nagasandra, Bengaluru
About 150 persons from St Pauls Church, Nagasandra, visited an orphanage situated near Kothannur, Bengaluru, on Sunday 2nd April 2017 as part of Easter preparation in the parish. The Way of the Cross was organized for the inmates and as a sign of solidarity, handed over to the Centre, the cash-donation collected from the parish for this purpose.
On Palm Sunday, palms will be blessed in St Pauls College campus and there will be a public procession to the church with the faithful carrying palms in their hands. St Paul’s drama and the passion-play will be enacted by the parishners in the evening.
On Holy Thursday, as usual, there will be the celebration of Lord’s Supper at 6 pm followed by adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. On Good Friday, besides the Way of the Cross in different languages, the service of Lord’s Passion will be conducted at 3 in the afternoon.
Divine Mercy Church, Anna Nagar, Chennai
A pilgrimage to the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows in Dindivanam was organized on Sunday 2nd April. Around 250 parishners participated in this pilgrimage.
Friday 7th April witnessed the ‘Sound and Light’ programme on the Passion of Christ. The well depicted programme was participated and appreciated by all the parishioners.
A blood donation camp will be organized on Sunday 9th April. This event is planned and organized by the parish youth (Divine youth) in consultation with Fr. Richard, the Parish Priest. Good Friday will witness a live performance on the Passion of Our Lord by the parish youth.
We congratulate our Parish Priests for their enthusiasm in offering pastoral care in the parish entrusted to their care. May these celebrations lead the faithful of these parishes to spiritual nourishment, greater faith and a consequent change of lifestyle as Easter-People.
