“Communication Christ to Millennials”, the National Summer Media course for the Church leaders and laity was solemnly inaugurated on Saturday, 6th May 2017 at St Pauls Institute of Communication Education (SPICE), Mumbai. The seminar was brought to its grand finale on 27th May 2017. All the participants were highly appreciative of the high quality seminar on communication organized by the SPICE, Mumbai. Congrats to Frs Dominic D’Silva and Renold Paschal, the Director and the Assistant Director of SPICE respectively.
New Priest at the Service of God
The India-Nigeria-UK-Ireland Province of the Society of St Paul had yet another beautiful moment on Sunday 7th May 2017 when Dn J. Francis Xavier was ordained a priest. Together with two other deacons from the Diocese of Coimbatore, Francis was ordained by His Lordship Most Rev Dr Thomas Aquinas, the bishop of the same diocese. Congratulations and best wishes to our newly ordained.
Defence of Doctoral Thesis
25 May 2017 marks a red-letter day in the history of the India-Nigeria-Britain-Ireland Province as Fr Plavendran was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Communication. Fr Plavendran brilliantly defended his thesis, ‘Neil Postman’s Media Ecology’ at the Salesian Pontifical University, Rome. Hearty congratulations and welcome back to the new Doctor.
New Parish Priest for Divine Mercy Church
On Saturday 27th May, Fr. George Chathanattu was installed as the Parish Priest of the Divine Mercy Church, Chennai. During the evening Mass presided over by Fr Devasia, the Vicar Provincial, Fr George and Fr Arockiaswamy took over the responsibility as the Parish Priest and the Assistant Parish Priest respectively. We wish them a fruitful ministry as pastors in this Pauline parish.
