Foundation Stone
On Wednesday 6 September 2017, His Grace Gabriel Leke Abegunrin, the archbishop of Ibadan (Nigeria), blessed and laid the foundation stone for our Formation House in Ibadan. During his brief message, His grace reminded the Paulines present, to remain faithful to the Lord and to surrender the construction to the Lord. He did it by quoting the Scripture: “Unless the Lord builds the house the laborers work in vain” (Ps 127:1).
Entry to Novitiate and Postulancy
On Thursday 7 September, three Postulants entered the Canonical year of Novitiate in the community of Lagos. On the same day, six Aspirants entered into their year of Postulancy. The ceremony was officiated by Fr Joe Eruppakkat, the Coordinator of Formation in Nigeria. We invoke God’s blessings upon these young ones so that they fulfill God’s plan for them during this scholastic year.
First Religious Profession
On Friday 8th September (Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary), three of our Novices: Bassahwa Bakam Yohanna, Muogbo Michael Izuchukwu and Obumkaneme Valentine, made their first Religious Profession. The religious ceremony was presided over by Fr Johnson Chacko, Provincial Councillor. We recommend the newly professed to the guidance, protection and providence of God so that they live their commitment faithfully.
