CommFest 17 is being held at St Pauls Institute of Communication Education (SPICE), Mumbai, today (16th September 2017). This is the fourth consecutive year that this event is held at SPICE. CommFest is an eagerly awaited annual communication and media-related festival. At CommFest, senior professionals from advertising, broadcasting, print media, public relations and short films share their experience and knowledge and interact with the audience. The sessions are designed to provide practical insights through case studies to supplement classroom knowledge. The CommFest format is audio visual, interactive, informative and enjoyable.
The registration to participate in the event started at 8.15 am. The programme started at 9.00 with the welcome address followed by the keynote speech on “Youth, Media & Democracy” by Kumar Ketkar, President, Mumbai Press Club. The other topics dealt during the day are: “A Career in Advertising—The Skills You Need”, “Reputation Management in a Digital World”, and “Strategic Planning for a Successful Campaign”. A panel discussion would be held on “Fake News and How We can Combat it in the Age of Social Media”. The final session of the day will witness a quiz on “Democracy in India”. At the end of the day, all the participants of this event will be awarded with a certificate of participation. Congratulations to the SPICE team for organizing the programme so professionally and for providing the students with interactive and informative sessions to excel in their field of studies.
