The heaven showered its blessings on the Pauline community Vijayawada on 27th November 2017 as we celebrated the silver jubilee of our presence in the diocese of Vijayawada and the feast of our founder Bl. James Alberione.
His Excellency Most Rev. Thelegathoti Joseph Raja Rao SMM, was welcomed by the Provincial superior Fr Varghese Gnalian and Fr Saji Antony the Superior of the community. As a jubilee gift to the people of the area, a Grotto of Our Lady was blessed and dedicated by Bishop Joseph Raja Rao. During the concelebrated Thanksgiving Eucharist Bishop enriched the gathering taking the life and experience of Blessed James Alberione. He had a deep experience of Jesus the Master during the Eucharistic Adoration that divided the 19 and 20 century that urged him to do something for the new century. This experience could not be taken away from him by anyone and that experience became an internal force for the mission and he handed over to the people who joined him for the mission.
After the Eucharistic celebration the long cherished desire of the TCBC, a series of official catechism books for the classes 1 -10 in English published by St Pauls Mumbai and Telugu Audio CD Sarvasm’ by Fr Maria Das, from Jeevandhara communications were released by Bishop Raja Rao. Fr Varghese the Provincial released ‘Daiva Sannidhilo’ a collection of prayer services by Fr Joseph Thulupenmakel from Jeevandhara Publications. As a jubilee gift to the diocese a new app – St Pauls App was inaugurated by the Bishop Joseph Raja Rao.
The superior of the community Fr Saji Antony felicitated the pioneers of the community with a shawl.
The presence of number of priests, religious and friends added colour to the ceremony and Fr Saji Antony thanked the Bishop, Provincial and others for their valuable presence and support in the mission of mass media communication. The celebration came to the conclusion with a fellowship meal.
