“Fr James Alberione whose memory we recall today, was above all a man who believed in the primacy of prayer, and who spent a minimum of four hours daily  in prayer,” said  Most Rev. John Moolachira, the Archbishop of Guwahati, presiding over the Feast day Eucharist on  Monday 27th November, 2017.  To further prove his point, the Archbishop quoted  Fr Alberione: “Prayer before everything , prayer above everything else…. Cursed be that study, cursed be that apostolate done neglecting prayer. “

Introducing our saintly founder to those present  Fr Alfonso Elengikal recalled that  Bl James Alberione, besides being a man of intense prayer and far-reaching vision, was a man who deeply loved the Church, and lived for the Church. Whatever he did, he added, particularly the different Institutes that he founded were all for the growth of the Church.  He concluded by  quoting  Pope Paul VI,  “ Alberione’s unique contribution  to the Church was that  he gave her  new means to express herself, new mew means to add vigour to her apostolate, and a new awareness of the validity and possibility of her mission in the  modern world with the modern means of communication.”

Fr Francis Dalmet, the Superior of the Community, profusely thanked every one for  coming over and sharing  our joy, and for constantly supporting the mission of the Pauline Family in the Archdiocese. He then invited them to a sumptuous  meal prepared with lots of love.
