The XVII Provincial Chapter of our Province realizing the importance of the Perpetual Adoration Chapel gave an Operative guideline ‘to erect Adoration Chapel in our parishes, wherever possible.’ Divine Mercy Shrine in Chennai is the first Pauline Parish in the Province to implement this Chapter operative guideline. The newly built Chapel was blessed and inaugurated at midnight of 31st December by Fr Varghese Gnalian, the Provincial Superior. After the blessing and inauguration, he presided over the Solemn mid-night Mass.
Fr George Chathanatt, the Parish priest, thanked the parishioners for their active involvement in the realization of the Chapel, and exhorted them to experience a deeper devotion to the Eucharistic Lord which will lead them to an improved relationship with Jesus and would lead them to repentance, conversion, and sanctity. It is a matter of great joy to see the constant presence of the people around the Eucharistic Lord. The Adoration Chapel is open for the public from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
