The students of ST PAULS COLLEGE took a break from their academic routine to take part in the Three-day event, “Blessed Alberione Talentia-2018 (BAT’ 18)” organized by the management and the faculty. This event was held to build team spirit, discover individual and group talent and ignite the fire of competition and festivity. The event began on 1 March 2018, with Father Prithvi Raj Philip, Principal of ST PAULS COLLEGE inaugurating it in the presence of Father Plavendran Irudayasamy, Vice Principal, faculty, non-teaching staff, and students.
On day one sporting competitions like Cricket and Football were held at the field of Kentenich Vidhyaniketan. The Judges/referees of the Sporting competitions were Fathers Thomas and Aneesh, who judged the players fair and square. Day two contained multiple sports events like Throwball for girls and Volleyball for boys, Singles and mixed doubles Badminton, Kabaddi for both boys and girls, Indoor games such as Chess and Carom. Day three was cultural events day, with Mr Michael and Mr Shijo as the judges. The teams showcased their cultural talents in On-stage events like Solo and group singing and dancing, One-minute to fame, Mad-Ads, Fashion Show and Off-stage events like Rangoli and Street Plays. The participants were celebrating the event with such a merry and dynamic spirit that the audience also started dancing to the beat. The final competition, ‘Tug of war’ had the competing teams tug at the rope with all their energy, one last time! The event ended with the Prize Distribution for each competition and an Overall Trophy that was won by ST PAULS SUNRISERS (GREEN). Both the Principal and the Vice Principal took the stage to thank and remind everyone the true spirit of the events that is to let the students come together, test and break their limits and helped them recognize that the only competitor with whom we need to compete is our own self!
