Pune : The Chavra Cup 2023, a thrilling football tournament hosted by the Carmel Syro Malabar Church, unfolded on 4 & 5 November 2023. This event united twelve enthusiastic teams from various parishes across Pune. The spotlight of the tournament was undoubtedly the final match between St. Pauls and the Carmel - B Team. Steering St. Pauls to glory was none other than their exceptional Captain, Br. Atish Tete, whose remarkable coordination and leadership left a lasting impression. In a nail-biting contest, neither team could break the deadlock, resulting in a goalless draw that showcased the intense competition. Despite the lack of goals, St. Pauls, under the guidance of Captain Br. Atish Tete, secured the runners-up position in the Chavra Cup 2023, accompanied by a well-deserved cash prize of ?14,000.
