The Feast Of The Founder

The Community of Delhi celebrated the Feast of Blessed James Alberione with traditional gaiety and solemnity. The celebration was anticipated to 22 November as the Solemnity of Christ the King was coming on 26 November. The main point of the Feast was the Solemn celebration of the Eucharist presided over by the Auxiliary Bishop of Delhi Most Rev. Deepak Tauro along with Fr Joby Mathew, our Provincial, and concelebrants from the nearby Salesian Community, and priests from the neighbouring parish. Religious communities of women where we render spiritual assistance joined the celebration. Lay collaborators and friends added variety to the celebration.

Fr Joe Eruppakat highlighted the life and mission of Fr Alberione in his introduction to the Mass.  In his introduction, he quoted Pope Saint Paul VI who visited Fr Alberione during his final hours on earth, and Pope Saint John Paul II who beatified him which made a deep impact on the people present for the celebration. Fr Joby Mathew who preached the homily brought in more inputs about the Founder and his pioneering efforts in the use of the media for the spreading of the Gospel and its values. The members of the Pauline Communities of the Daughters of St Paul and Sister Disciples of the Divine Master with their prayers and melodious singing made the celebration richer. The participants of the celebrations expressed deep appreciation for our Founder and the apostolate the Paulines are doing wherever they are present. A fellowship meal concluded the celebration.
