The community of Pune has recently embarked on a green revolution under the leadership of a dynamic individual. The community has witnessed over the past month the growth of banana saplings, dragon fruits, and a variety of vegetables such as French beans, long beans, tomatoes, cabbage, brinjal, chilli, ivy gourd, and various leafy greens. Fr Joseph Tirkey has played a leading role in overseeing the development of this botanical haven, dedicating a significant amount of his time to its cultivation. The kitchen staff, Vasanthi and Shanthi, have also contributed their share to the garden's care, ensuring the thriving of each plant using only natural manure. As a result, the community now enjoys the fresh produce of their labour, free from any hazardous chemicals.
