Bandra : “30 Holy Minutes, a half-hour adoration from 8.00 to 8.30 PM before the Blessed Sacrament exposed was begun during the pandemic on 1 December 2020. Its purpose was to unite people in prayer and pray specifically for those affected by the dreaded disease. Initially only five people joined the adoration but eventually the initiative witnessed a significant growth with 1000-plus families joining online daily. As of today, the programme garnered a viewership of an average 10,000 to 15,000 people daily from 16 countries around the globe. The programme is organized with participation from various demographics including children, adults, senior citizens, religious, priests and bishops who come forward to lead and animate the adoration. On 1 December 2023, we have completed three grace-filled years of this ‘divine initiative’ and brought together thousands of people from around the world to adore and worship the Lord present in the Blessed Sacrament and invoke His blessings on the world. On this happy occasion, while we thank the Lord for this divine inspiration, we gratefully remember our members Fr Johny Panamthanam, Fr Renold Paschal and Fr Vincent Carmelbhavan who faithfully organize and coordinate the ‘30 Holy Minutes’ day after day.
