
Bandra : A National Conference on Proliferation of Artificial Intelligence on Media and Social Sectors was held on 30 November 2023 in the Alberione Hall of St Pauls Media Complex. The event was jointly organized by the College of Social Work (Autonomous), Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai, and St Pauls Institute of Communication Education For Women in Mumbai. The objective of the Conference was to explore the impact of AI on various social sectors. While Fr (Dr) Plavendran Irudayasamy, Principal of SPICE for Women, inaugurated the Conference, Dr Lidwin Dias, Principal, College of Social Work, Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai presented some key insights related to the theme. In his keynote address, Fr Nigel Barrett, Director of Catholic Communication Centre, Archdiocese of Bombay, highlighted the significance and relevance of AI both for the present time and the future. Mr Willibrord George, Founder, Willibrord International Schools, spoke extensively on AI in education and his interactive session was highly appreciated by the students. The very successful outcome of the seminar is an indication that SPICE for Women is ever on the move towards the future.
