Here is Christmas

Among the many initiatives undertaken as a part of our Christmas celebrations in Bandra, two items organized for this year’s Christmas will be remembered for a long time to come: the Christmas Crib put up by the community and the carol competition organized by SPICE, Bandra. The Global crib, crib in the form of a globe, was conceptualized and designed by Fr Johny Panamthanam. The crib highlights the current scenario of our present world into which Christ is born again. 

The Carol Competition organized by the Staff and Students of SPICE under the leadership of Fr Plavendran was a great success. About seventeen teams from Mumbai representing different institutions, groups and individuals actively participated in the two-day event. We were fortunate to have generous sponsors who volunteered   to meet the cost of the entire event. In the area of pastoral services, the community responded generously and positively to the innumerable requests from several parishes in Mumbai for pastoral services such as confessions, masses, preaching, etc. from the middle of December.  Indeed, Christmas 2023 will be remembered as a starry and colourful Christmas!!
