Bandra : Ever since the Paulines set foot in the Archdiocese of Bombay about 70 years ago we have been rendering praiseworthy religious and pastoral services both to the religious and lay faithful of the local Church besides our specific ministry of Social Communication. Our generous and dedicated service marked by a Pauline ‘touch and colour’ have always been appreciated   by the clergy, religious as well as lay faithful. According to Fr Johny Panamthanam, Superior of the community, currently we are serving about 10 religious communities and 5 parishes on a regular basis apart from special services occasionally. No doubt, our presence, our interactions and service to these institutions offer us an excellent opportunity to speak about our charism in the Church, our spirituality and our specific mission. This can also greatly help us in our apostolate and in our pastoral work for vocations. There have been also instances where after several years of our service many do not know what our charism and our specific apostolate are. We have been looked at as mere Chaplains! If all those of us entrusted with this type of ministry make an extra effort, certainly we can make a difference, by making ourselves, our Founder, our charism and our mission known and visible in the local Church.
