Pope Francis has said that “Lent is a favourable time for personal and community renewal, as it leads us to the paschal mystery of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.” Taking seriously the exhortation of Pope Francis and keeping before us the objective of our last General and Provincial Chapters, "Let yourselves be transformed, renewing your way of thinking" (Rom 12:2), the community of Mumbai has decided to make this year’s Lenten journey, truly a Synodal one.  Apart from the traditional Lenten practices such as fasting, prayer, penance, almsgiving etc., the community proposes to make a serious effort to give concrete expressions to the gospel values such as love, forgiveness, reconciliation, mercy and compassion among us as members of the community.

Besides, plans are being prepared to organize contextualized ‘Stations of the Cross’, special  hour of adoration on different days of the week at community  and group level to pray specially for peace in the world, for the persecuted Christians in our own country, for the universal Church, and for vocations in the Church, etc.
