In a delightful gathering, the vibrant community of Bangalore came together for a joyous picnic on 25 February 2023. The event, attended by aspirants, juniors, seniors and the domestic staff alike, commenced with a Holy Mass at 6 a.m., setting the spiritual tone for the day. The driving force behind the meticulous planning and animated spirit of the picnic was Fr Devasia Joseph, the acting superior, who played a significant role in ensuring its success.
The community embarked on their journey to explore the rich cultural and natural heritage of the region around 7:45 a.m., visiting notable destinations such as Tippu Sultan Samadhi, Sangam, and the breathtaking Balmuri Falls. The scenic locations provided the perfect backdrop for the community members to bond and enjoy their day together.
Lunch was savoured at the Balmuri Falls, followed by a delightful time to enjoy in the water, enhancing the unity among the participants. The day was filled with laughter, joy, and shared moments of connection.
The community returned to their base by 8:30 p.m., concluding the day with a memorable bus journey filled with dancing and various recreational programmes. Adding an extra layer of excitement was a luck fest conducted by Fr Joseph T.C. at the Balmuri Falls, which further heightened the overall enjoyment of the community picnic. The event left a lasting impression, fostering a sense of unity and shared experiences among the participants.
