The Vicariate Meet of Eluru city was held at our Fr Alberione Mini Conference Hall on 22 February 2024. Fr Alfonso Elengikal ably animated the short session.
Fr Alfonso took the opportunity to speak on Bl. James Alberione, our Founder, presenting him as the ideal priest, whose sole motto in life was to “live Jesus and give Jesus the Master, Way, Truth and Life” to the world.
Alberione chose St Paul as the Patron of the Pauline Family because in St Paul he found someone deeply in love with the person of Christ. St Paul dared to say, “It is not I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me”; “be you imitators of me as I am of Christ”; “who/what can separate me from the love of Christ....”
Fr Alfonso further pointed out that it was in the Holy Eucharist and in the Bible that Alberione daily met Jesus, drawing strength for his God-given mission. Moreover, Alberione was a man for the Church, and all that he did was in answer to the needs of the Church of his time, inviting the pastoral clergy present to follow in his footsteps.
