“We ask the Holy Spirit Lord to fill us with His gifts of Wisdom and Knowledge so that we grow according to God’s will,” thus Fr Dominic Savio D’Silva, the Superior of the Community, invited the entire community during the Mass of the Holy Spirit, on Thursday, 20th June, 2024, to mark the beginning of the new Academic Year 2024-2025.
Fr Prithviraj Philip, the Formation Director and Master of Aspirants, preached a thought-provoking homily which focused on the significance of time, urging the members to make the most of every opportunity presented to them. Additionally, Fr Philip emphasized the role of the Holy Spirit in guiding their spiritual journey.
After the Eucharistic celebration, Fr D’Silva along with the other concelebrants, prayed over the Holy Oil and anointed the members as a symbol renewing the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
The day culminated in a joyful fellowship meal, fostering a sense of community spirit and communion among the Aspirants, the Juniors, and the Senior members. As a sign of warm welcome to the first-year Aspirants, they were each presented with a rose flower besides giving all Fromees special gifts.
Fr D'Silva concluded the event by expressing his gratitude to each member of the community for his cooperation and dedication. This spirit of unity and shared purpose sets a positive tone for the Bangalore community as they embark on a new chapter of learning and spiritual growth.
