Meeting of the Provincial Governments of the Pauline Family in India

On Saturday, 20 July, 2024, the Provincial teams of the Daughters of St Paul, the Pious Disciples of the Divine Master, and the Society of St Paul gathered together at the conference hall of the SSP Provincial House, Bandra. The meeting was organised by the three Provincial Superiors Fr Joby Mathew, Sr Matilda D’Souza and Sr Celine D’Cunha.

The one day meeting helped all the participants to get to know the current situation of the three congregations in India and to discuss various ways to strengthen our family relationship. The teams felt that we all need to give extra care to be more cordial in our mutual interactions at all levels. The members felt that it is important to present ourselves as members of a ‘Family’ to the Church in India, especially in our apostolic initiatives. The discussions were centred on the themes of common projects, common training and common programmes that can strengthen the bond as well as foster our apostolate.

The meeting opened up many opportunities to work together as one family. Before the meeting was ended the teams agreed upon a few actions plans. This first gathering of the Provincial Teams has given all the participants a renewed desire and impetus to remain united as it was the wish of the Founder.
