As part of the verification visit to the Community of Mumbai, the General Councillors Rev. Fr Valdecir Uveda, SSP and Rev. Fr Alan Gamutan, SSP interacted with the community members on Monday 5 August 2024.
The general councillors were accompanied by Fr Joby Mathew, Provincial of the Society of St Paul. Fr Sunil Varghese, the superior of the community welcomed the General Councillors to the community and wished them a pleasant stay with us.
A brief interaction of the members with the general councillors consisted in sharing the major apostolic projects carried out all over the world by Fr Alan Gamutan. He insisted that we need to focus our attention on digital apostolate and appreciated the efforts taken by the Multimedia Department in conducting online adoration.
Fr Valdecir Uveda then continued the discussion with the members. He reiterated that there is an urgent need for strengthening the networking of our apostolic units all over the world. In this manner, we can tap the resources from others.
The community members raised a few questions on matters related to community life, apostolic activities, dwindling Vocations to brotherhood. The verification visit was concluded with a fellowship meal with the General Councillors.
